So yesterday was the 17th of May, a date that means celebration, champagne, and a lot of people out in the streets in Norway. Bands marching, playing the music that sounds good only one day a year. Ice cream, hot dogs and beer.

Since Norwegians abroad now how to feel like home, the Association of Norwegian Students Abroad (ANSA) arranged a parade in the streets of Dublin. I guess more than hundred people met, with Norwegian flags, pretty clothes and umbrellas.

And it was so much fun. It’s good to find the patriot inside, to celebrate the goods things about being Norwegian. Even if it’s just for one day.

Glad you all were in good spirits despite the challenging weather.

Thanks for your comment! And yeah, after a year living in Ireland you kind of get used to challenging weather.
